My Favorite Rom-Coms

It is no secret that people keep a special place in their hearts for romantic comedies. As I've gone down my romantic-comedy memory lane, I realized we love rom-coms for many different reasons.

I know romantic comedies can be cliché, cheesy and just plain bad. I know that we may not fall in love on a soccer field or meet the love of our lives trying to win a bet. But, the good romantic comedies really do stay with us

The best romantic comedies make you love everyone involved. These movies encourage emotional investment in the characters and in the end, reward us for that dedication. Watching a good rom-com feels like going on an exciting first date with yourself - it makes you excited and curious about all of the new feelings inside of you.

Romantic comedies are there for us when we don't believe in love and when we do. They make us want to say “I love you” to the people we love and be honest about our feelings. They show us how to be brave and how to open our hearts and be vulnerable. They make us believe in the possibility of our dreams coming true!
